The following is an alphabetical list of English-language films selected as suitable for ESL learning and teaching. The list comes from The Best Movies for Contemporary American English (Kwon 2014). These movies are selected from over 700 movies gathered from a variety of sources, reflecting the ESL specific selection criteria outlined therein. Choosing "the best" of anything will necessarily leave room for debates and arguments.
